JV Lady Indians win tenth straight, claim region championship
TFS secures region title with tenth straight win
Just two nights after the varsity team winning a region title, the JV Lady Indians followed suit with a tenth straight win that secured their own championship. TFS defeated Bethlehem Christian in straight sets, 25-15, 25-17.
"History was made today as the JV girls finished their season flawless in region play," says coach Matt Crotta. "Consistent serving and excellent defensive play in the back row came through for the Lady Indinas again as they successfully dug nearly every attack from the Knights."
Emmalyn Whisnant, Nora Mitchell, and Keely Franks worked together in creating what Crotta called a defensive fortress that couldn't be broken. Finlee Ridlehoover was great at setting, loading the offense with some stellar sets. AnnaLee Wall had six kills, Tori Crotta had five, Camryn Perry and Becca Roberts each had three, Madison Williams had two, and McKenzie McCoy and Ridlehoover had one apiece.
Crotta added six aces and two blocks, while Ridlehoover had two aces and Roberts one. The girls close the season at 15-3 overall and a perfect 10-0 in region play.
