TFS closes regular season with straight-set win over Bethlehem Christian
Lady Indians make more history with another top-10 win
The Lady Indians, just two nights after winning their third-ever region championship, closed out the regular season with a program-record ninth win over a ranked opponent. #4-ranked TFS beat #8 Bethlehem Christian 3-0 on the road Thursday night.
"Outside of a little bit of a slow start in the first set, the girls had a dominant offensive showing," says coach Matt Heyl. "Becca had an all-around strong game, swinging with power and precision. Tori stepped up tonight to play for Lily, who was out sick."
Rebecca Heyl had 14 kills in the win, and Sofia Livianos added 11. Crotta was fantastic, taking advice and adjusting to her opponents, making several key serves while adding two kills and three aces. Margalida Amengual Sanchez continued her amazing season, setting up the hitters with beautiful assists - even grabbing one from two feet off the ground and still accurately positioning Livianos.
The Lady Indians won 25-20, 25-13, 25-9, and finish the regular season at 24-8 overall and a perfect 10-0 in region play.
