Next Level: Selah Wiltshire puts pen to paper with Lynn University
Wiltshire becomes 10th swimmer from TFS to sign to compete at college level
Star swimmer Selah Wiltshire made her decision to swim at the next level and continue her academic career at Lynn University.
"I've been swimming since I was just seven months old, and I've been competing competitively for 12 years," says Wiltshire. "Swimming has always been a huge part of my life, and over the years I've grown not only as an athlete but as a person. Being able to compete at the next level is incredibly exciting for me. I feel proud of how far I've come, and I'm motivated and ready to take on new challenges. I'm looking forward to pushing myself, improving even more, and seeing what I can accomplish in this next chapter of my swimming journey."
The senior from St. John, Antigua just put the finishing touches on her high school career with back-to-back team state championships. Among her stellar performances includes a school record in the 100 Free with a 53.83 time that saw her finish third overall in the event.
She is part of two other school records - the 200 Medley Relay (1:49.19) in which she anchored the state title group, and the 200 Free Relay (1:40.63) as the leadoff for another state title winner. The 200 Medley Relay group's mark is also the GIAA state record.
Wiltshire has a second and third-place finish in both the 100 Free and 50 Free over the last two seasons, and was third in the 100 Breast this season as well. She's won four golds with back-to-back wins in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay.
Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL is an NCAA DII member, competing in the Sunshine State Conference. The swim program is guided by Niki Alvarez, who has coached several All-Americans and even three individual NCAA DII National Champions.
"I chose Lynn University because of its strong academic programs and great internship opportunities," adds Wiltshire. "I also love that it gives me the chance to continue swimming while getting a quality education."
Wiltshire becomes the 10th swimmer from TFS to go on to compete at the next level, and the 114th all-time Next Level athlete. She will be honored along with all other signees from the class of 2026 in May at the annual Next Level Signing Ceremony.
