MS Lady Indians pick up first win in hard-fought battle against Towns
Fleming notches hat trick in first win for TFS
The MS Lady Indians (1-4-1) got a much-needed win against Towns County with a 4-1 final on Tuesday.
The game was tied 1-1 for most of the first half. An own goal from Towns resulted in a 2–1 lead for the Lady Indians going into halftime.
Tallulah Falls was led by Maizee Fleming, who had a hat trick with three goals.
"We had a solid defensive performance, says coach Vinny Correa. "Maizee scored a hat trick and could have had more if our ladies weren't so eager to lock on the win. Audrey Roy led the defense with solid tackles and great passing to start attacking plays. Valerie Webster stepped up to the plate as a substitute halfway through the first half and never left the game. She kept our defensive midfield poised, calm, and alert."
