TFS topples Bethlehem 7-2 as Crumley breaks two assist records
The Lady Indians won 7-2 at home Tuesday over #10-ranked Bethlehem Christian, and Bailey Crumley broke two school assist records.
TFS handled Bethlehem Christian easily in a 7-2 win. Tallulah got on the board first with a goal from Leyre Martinez Herreros, as Crumley assisted. Marta Beltran added a goal to make it 2-1 before the half.
In the second half, Crumley assisted on three straight goals scored by LB Kafsky, and the duo hooked up again later in the half to stamp the win. Betsey Orr added the final tally.
Crumley notched a school record five assists, and needed just three coming into the game to break the all-time record of 26. She now has 29.
Tallulah (5-4) is now 5-1 in region play with back-to-back wins.
"I'm so incredibly proud of my girls tonight," says coach Erin Jimenez. "We hit the gas and didn't let up. I can't wait to see what we are capable of the rest of this season. Huge accomplishment from Bailey, breaking two records. I could not ask for more."
