Indians shut out Bethlehem Christian as Stille earns historic win
TFS takes 5-0 win as coach Jeremy Stille collects milestone win
The #3-ranked Indians earned another clean sheet win in a 5-0 final on Friday at Bethlehem Christian, as coach Jeremy Stille earned his 100th career win.
Tallulah (4-1) put on the pressure with 17 shots on goal. Versean Turnquest had two goals, while Simon Gainzarain Hernando, Kale Borchers, and Ian Borchers all had one apiece.
Assists were credited to Fabricio Turner Sandoval, Turnquest, and Francisco Moreira Cardosa Mori Vierira.
"The boys put in a great shift to maintain a shutout against a very pacy BCA," says Stille. "The defensive line was solid and controlled for the majority of the match and only allowed three shots on target. Alberto [Battino] and Lucas [Woodland] split halves in goal and did wonderfully when called upon. Tyson [Hall] was the metronome in the middle and did a phenomenal job of controlling the tempo of the game with his passing and vision. It was a great win to start the region competition for us. We will now recover over the weekend and prepare for our next away match at George Walton on Tuesday and our first official home match of the season next Friday against Riverside."
The win is the fourth in a row for TFS.
