Indians take close win over Banks County
TFS secures 'home' win at The Orchard over Leopards
Playing for the first time this season at home, the Indians beat Banks County by a slim 167-171 final at The Orchard on Thursday.
Ryder Cantrell was the low medalist, firing a 38. Max Pulliam (42), Rylee Smith (43), Owen Earp (44), Kalvin Ngov (46), Jayden Hangbo (48), and Emmett Likins (49) all scored in the 40s.
Tate Turpin turned in a 50, while Wyatt Dorsey and Liam Burke both finished with a 57.
"After competing on a smaller shot-oriented course at The Links, we were able to play a more traditional course with some length to it," says coach CJ Stockel. "Grip and Rip it."
The match was the second qualifying match for the Indians' upcoming 18-hole matches.
"It is exciting to see the upperclassman leadership stepping up and leading in scoring," adds Stockel.
