Roache makes history as TFS splits double-header
Indians even series against #4 John Milledge
Tallulah Falls (8-11) won one and lost one against John Milledge Academy, falling 18-8 in game one and winning the night cap 14-4. Ashton Roache had a 2-run homer in the second game to collect his 96th career hit, making him the school's all-time leader.
The first game was one to forget for Tallulah Falls. After the second inning, the score was 9-1 in John Milledge's favor. The Indians could not stop the bleeding and lost 18-8 after a mercy-rule stoppage in the fifth.
Jordan Miller and Ashton Roache each had one hit and two RBI. Alex Stefanovic and Brantley also added a run and a hit each.
TFS started off hot in the second game, getting out to a 5-0 lead by the end of the second. A fourth inning full of errors resulted in five runs for Tallulah, and helped them take a commanding 10-2 lead. The Indians would eventually finish the job in the bottom of the fifth with four runs and two hits. The final score was 14-4.
Ashton Roache had himself a game with four runs and a two-run homer. Alex Stefanovic, Richard Ferguson, and Leslie Sands Jr. each had one run, one hit, and one RBI.
Drew Barron picked up the win with only allowing four runs and four hits.
