MS Spring Sports Recap
TFS middle schoolers shine in Spring 2026
The middle school spring sports teams for Tallulah Falls put together several solid seasons across the board. Here's how each team fared in 2026.
BASEBALL
The Indians earned three wins throughout the season, including their first two overall. Even in the games they didn't win, they were competitive. Eighth-graders Easton Pollock and Brody Dampier excelled, competing at the MS level as well as on JV and even getting some varsity action.
SOCCER
The Lady Indians put together a 5-win campaign, and improved by leaps and bounds from start to finish. Star forward Maizee Fleming (10 goals) had a fantastic season, notching a hat trick and consistently being a scoring threat. Gwenyth Peters was another standout offensively, and the girls got hot at the right time. They made it back to the Tri-State Championship game for a second straight year, and fell in PKs. The team is extremely young and is set to return all but one starter.
The Indians posted a pair of wins and a tie on the season, and closed out strong with a road win over Towns County. Kai Hanifan-Wagner and Jetzon Maclin combined for 14 goals and four assists, and TFS got plenty of their eighth-graders development to take to the next level, while the younger players got valuable experience to bring back next spring.
GOLF
The golf teams consistently racked up match wins throughout the season. The Indians in particular were very strong early on, and the girls showed great improvement with each match. Both teams closed the season at the North Georgia MS Golf Championships, with the girls coming in fourth and the boys fifth. Stella Hatcher, Helena Hastie, Emrie Turner, and Hadley Lovvorn were the leaders for the girls, while Oliver Radford, West Ridlehoover, Branson Duncan, and Avery Likins were among the leaders for the boys.
TRACK & FIELD
The track and field teams both finished Runner-Up in the Tri-State Championship. Zachary Bonner had two 1st-place finishes at the final meet, and performed well all season in the long jump, 100 MH, and 300 MH. Lincoln Penland shined in the 800 and 1600, and all the relays placed either first or second at the championship meet. The girls got big performances from Naomi Russo in the 800 and 1600, and teammates Emily Papandreas and Fern Johnson also were vital to the success of the team.
